In Welding Technology there are constantly new developments, whether in standards, techniques, materials or processes. If you want to deepen or broaden your knowledge, Elektrolas offers you various advanced training courses. All our executive education courses are offered in accordance with the quality requirements and regulations of the Netherlands Institute for Welding Technology and the diplomas to be obtained are European or internationally recognized.

Master welder course

The education Master welder is aimed at Welders who would like to advance to a managerial position or broaden and deepen their knowledge.

After completing the Master Welder course, you will have the knowledge and insight that is important when choosing a welding process, quality assurance, work preparation and work execution. These are important skills for a welding foreman or welding coordinator, for example.

Welding coordinator course

The welding coordinator training course is aimed at experienced welders, welding foremen, quality assurance personnel and inspectors, who want to learn how to supervise welders and companies certifications themselves.

After this training you will be able to assess whether products meet the applicable quality requirements and you can coordinate the certification of welders and companies.
 
  • Start time: September and February
  • Training duration: 17 weeks of lessons (1 evening per week)
  • Location: Elektrolas Lastechniek in Waalwijk, The Netherlands

Visual welding inspector course

The Visual Welding Inspector course is aimed at executive welders, welding foremen, QA/QC staff and inspectors who want to gain more insight on visual inspection of welding.

After taking VTw-1, you will be able to perform an inspection under the supervision of a Visual Welding Inspector with level 2. 

After taking VTw-2, you will be able to independently evaluate welds and supervise Level 1 welding inspectors.

Exams

The welding courses are concluded with a theory and practical exam. These exams are conducted by an independent examiner from the Dutch Institute for Welding Technology (NIL). If you pass, you will receive an NIL certificate. To keep the certificate valid, you must provide evidence of regular performance. This can be done by refreshing and updating your knowledge. Elektrolas therefore organizes annually so-called refresher days to keep your knowledge and skills up to date. View our Schooling activity calendar.

 

Certified NIL Educator

Elektrolas is registered by the Dutch Institute for Welding Technology (NIL) as an Approved Educator. This recognition means that with our skills and management training we meet the conditions laid down in the NIL regulations. These include quality control, training plan, materials and experience of our teachers.

Subsidy possibilities

There are several possibilities to qualify for an attractive subsidy. You will have to apply for this yourself, but of course we are happy to help you on your way by informing you about the various possibilities.

OOM Foundation
OOM is a training consultancy in the metalworking industry. Their goal is to raise the level of craftsmanship in the metal industry. They do this by stimulating the learning culture within companies. OOM co-finances the training costs for employer, employee or student.  Read more about the OOM foundation.

STAP Budget
STAP budget is a personal development budget which you can use to train yourself or to be retrained. It is used to cover (part of) the costs of a training activity. Per year you can do a maximum of 1 STAP course, for which a maximum of 1000 euros STAP budget can be allocated. All our courses, workshops and trainings are eligible for this reimbursement. Read more about the STAP budget.
