MIG/MAG Welding Course Level 1 to 4
In the MIG/MAG welding course, you will learn the professional techniques of arc welding with a consumable electrode in shielding gas. After completing the training, you should be able to independently perform the described and established skills based on standard drawings and work instructions. The difference between MIG and MAG lies in the material being welded. MIG welding is with aluminum, MAG welding is with steel or stainless steel.
MIG/MAG Welding Course Level 1
The following topics will be covered:
- Welding processes.
- Welding equipment for MIG/MAG welding.
- Welding of internal and external fillet welds in PA and PB positions.
- Welding of workpieces made from rod, plate, profile, and pipe materials in the aforementioned positions. Special attention will also be given to selecting the correct parameters and preventing malfunctions.
MIG/MAG Welding Course Level 2
The following topics will be covered:
- Chemical concepts.
- Iron and steel production.
- Cast iron/cast steel and alloying elements.
- The influence of carbon on the properties of steel and its consequences for the weldability of steel.
- Commercial forms of aluminum and steel products.
- Weld examination.
- Welding of internal and external fillet welds, with or without back welding, in PB, PC, PD, PG, and PF positions.
- Welding of V-lap joints in PF positions and V-groove welds in PA position.
- Welding of workpieces made from and/or composed of rod, plate, and profile materials in the aforementioned positions.
- Welding of internal fillet welds in PB, PD, PF, and PG positions, external fillet welds in PB and PD positions; V-groove welds in PA and PF positions; I-groove welds in PG position.
- Welding of workpieces composed of plate material, incorporating the previously mentioned joint types, joint forms, and welding positions.
MIG/MAG Welding Course Level 3
- Weld joint types and preparations.
- Loads on constructions.
- Shrinkage phenomena.
- Welding positions and weld symbols on drawings.
- Blueprint reading.
- Welding of internal and external fillet welds, with or without back welding, in PA, PB, PC, PD, and PF positions.
- Welding of open V-groove welds and double V-groove welds (X-groove welds) in PA and PF positions.
- Welding of workpieces made from and/or composed of rod, plate, profile, and pipe materials in the aforementioned positions.
MIG/MAG Welding Course Level 4
The following topics will be covered:
- Process variables in welding.
- The arc.
- Welding consumables.
- Welding imperfections, their causes, and prevention.
- Practical welding.
- Safety, health, welfare, and environment (Occupational Health and Safety).
- Welding of internal fillet welds in PD and PF positions.
- Welding of V-groove welds and double V-groove welds in PE, PF, and PC positions.
- Because we work with small groups, there is a lot of personal attention and guidance. In our welding school, we use the most modern equipment, and lessons are taught by experienced instructors.
