NEN-EN-ISO 15613 focuses on the description and approval of welding procedures for metals, specifically by approving a welding procedure based on a preliminary welding test before the start of production. This standard provides guidelines for validating preliminary welding procedures through practical tests. Although the principles are primarily designed for techniques such as arc welding, oxy-fuel welding, electron beam welding, laser welding, resistance welding, stud welding, and friction welding, they are more broadly applicable to other welding processes.
